We are creating a tool that will be used to aid football/soccer managers in understanding how break down opposing defenses.
It is a reinforcement learning model that that will discover the most optimal, i.e. highest success rate, passing patterns that will break down a defense, given specific information about one's own players and vague tactical information about the defensive team. This is an early stage product with a working model but lots of room for better environment engineering and tuning. We are using gymnasium with pygame and and rllib's ppo model.
